BIO: As a featured vocalist, Lisa has performed with many small groups, big bands, and orchestras including The Nelson Riddle Orchestra, The Columbus Symphony Orchestra, and The Columbus Jazz Orchestra; with performances nationally and locally in a variety of jazz clubs, theaters, festivals, and other music venues. Lisa currently performs around central Ohio as a freelance vocalist and with her own quartet. As a studio singer she has done voice work for a variety of local and national radio and television jingles, and has recorded two solo CDs.
In addition to live performance and recording, she also teaches private lessons, workshops, clinics, and residencies in voice, piano, and jazz education. She is a co-founder of Jazz for Kids, a jazz preservation group that teaches early-elementary age children about jazz. Lisa is a member of The National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS) and hold a BA in Speech and Hearing Science with an emphasis on voice study from The Ohio State University. Additionally, Lisa is the creator and director of The Colossal Joy Project, which offers positive therapeutic artistic programs, workshops, publications and music for children, adults, and seniors. She is also a certified Laughter Yoga leader.
